The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Mario and Luigi are Italian-American brothers with a failing plumbing business in Brooklyn. While responding to an underground leak, they are sucked into a mysterious pipe and emerge separately in a magical fantasy world.

Mario finds himself in the Mushroom Kingdom, where he’s introduced to the kingdom’s ruler, Princess Peach. He learns that the evil King Bowser, leader of the turtle-like Koopas, has captured Luigi, and plans to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom and marry Peach. With little time to spare, Mario joins Peach’s side to help her recruit the Kong Kingdom to her cause in the hope they can repel Bowser’s attacks, save the Mushroom Kingdom, and free Luigi.

Buckle up for a wild adventure across colourful lands in this faithful adaptation of the Super Mario game series from Nintendo. Full of vibrant action sequences and silly jokes, it’s fun for all the family (although some scenes might frighten very young children), with references both big and small for the hardcore fans.
