Swimming with Men

12A
Comedian Rob Brydon plays an ordinary middle aged man, beginning to question if his career/marriage/family are as they should be. He stumbles across a rather unusual way to deal with the issues in this bittersweet British comedy. Hailed as ‘The Full Monty in Speedos’ he finds friendship, cameraderie, laughs and a new goal when he is invited to join his local male only synchronized swimming team. Inspired by a true story (yes, really!), there are delightful performances from the familiar and talented cast. “Likably daft Britcom with echoes of The Full Monty and Brassed Off” The Guardian “Brydon gives a likeable and engagingly deadpan performance” The Independent “It’s impressive, and quite lovely” Hollywood News 12A: contains infrequent strong language, moderate sex references
