Me Before You

Jojo Moyes’ adaptation of her own best-seller is a tear-jerking romance in the vein of Pretty Woman. Emilia (Game of Thrones) Clarke is small town girl Lou, hired to care for Will, played by Sam (The Hunger Games) Clafin, paralyzed since a motorbike accident halted his high-flying lifestyle two years previously. It’s kooky Lou’s job to tempt him out of his despair, and she is determined to make him fall in love all over again and cancel his date with assisted suicide in Switzerland. Me Before You hits both the sweet and bitter spots, and there’s great on-screen chemistry between its two shining young stars. 12A: Contains moderate sex references, suicide references "A rom-com with brains" Time Out "potent stuff" Vanity Fair "Resistance to this delirious romantic tragedy is futile" Screen International.
