Before our beloved Buzz was a globally known action figure, he was a real-life astronaut. An origin story that has young space ranger Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Chris Evans) marooned on an alien planet for a year with his crew, the Pixar-animated Lightyear sees Buzz take on a test flight mission in the hopes of getting everyone home. When the flight goes wrong, he’s flung 62 years into the future, where Emperor Zurg exerts his evil plans with the aid of villainous robots. To save the universe, Buzz has to rely on the varied talents of a quirky group of recruits, leading his new team on an adventure to infinity and beyond.

A thrilling and spectacular sci-fi adventure that deepens our love for this Toy Story hero.

“lovingly animated with an obligatory heart-tugging sequence about loss, guaranteed to make adults weep.” Metro

“Lightyear is a treat: a time-travelling, space-ranging, animated adventure in the spirit of classic sci-fi.” Guardian

PG: Contains mild threat, violence
