Legendary performer Judy Garland arrives in London in the winter of 1968 to perform a series of sold-out concerts. By this point, she’s in the twilight of her career – broke, without a manager, battling with her ex-husband for custody of their children. Physically, she’s on the slide and looking well beyond her 46 years. Her life has been largely chaotic for almost 30 years – since Judy was the child star of 1939’s ‘The Wizard of Oz’. Judy has a phenomenal performance from Renée Zellweger, who is surely worthy of an Oscar nomination. “Judy is an enjoyable, sincere attempt to present a multi-faceted portrait of a Hollywood legend” Empire “Renée Zellweger still gives the performance of the year” Rolling Stone 12A: contains scenes of drug misuse, infrequent strong language
