Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

Following the fall of civilisation, warlords roam the wastelands vying for water, food, and other resources. A young Furiosa lives in the Green Place of Many Mothers, a hidden area that continues to teem with life. When a biker gang stumbles upon it, Furiosa tries to sabotage their escape to keep its location hidden, but is kidnapped in the process.

Her captor, the warlord Dementus, adopts her as his daughter, hoping she will one day lead him to the Green Place. Thrust into a hostile and unforgiving world, Furiosa spends the following decade doing whatever she can to survive, determined that she will one day return to her home.

Return to the post-apocalyptic outback of the Mad Max series in this spin-off set 15 to 20 years before the acclaimed Mad Max: Fury Road. In between thrilling chases and wild action sequences, Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth are in magnificent form as Furiosa and Dementus.

“an epic achievement that, if you’ve ever relished a Mad Max film, you should make sure to seek on the biggest, loudest screen possible. And then look forward to seeing it again.” New Statesman

“A complex, contemplative, and sprawling picture that explores the price of holding on to your humanity in a world that argues against its very value.” The Atlantic

“a furious ride with three utterly watchable leads” Evening Standard

“Taylor-Joy and Hemsworth are a great pairing and Taylor-Joy is an overwhelmingly convincing action heroine.” The Guardian
