A Haunting in Venice

Hercule Poirot is living a life of retirement in Venice when he receives an invitation to a nighttime séance from his friend Ariadne Oliver. Unable to distinguish the real from the fake, Ariadne believes Poirot can figure out if these séances are truly bridging the gap with those departed. When a guest turns up dead, it’s down to Poirot to find the culprit. But is his suspect not of this world?

Kenneth Branagh makes his third outing as Agatha Christie’s famous Belgian detective in this supernatural mystery based on her novel Hallowe’en Party. Featuring another ensemble cast of household names, this is a suspenseful and eerie whodunit that will have you clutching your armrests and jumping in your seat.

“A heck of a lot of fun, from its eerie Venetian mask costumes to the intriguing ways in which its central mysteries unfold.” Entertainment Weekly

“just right for Halloween” London Evening Standard

“Branagh anchors this supernatural digression from the shoe-leather sleuthing of earlier Hercule Poirot stories with appropriate theatricality, while playful turns from the supporting cast elevate another murder mystery to suitably arch gothic horror.” Variety
