Highlands & Islands Ticketing Project:
Quotes

Below are some of the comments that HI~Arts received regarding the development of the Online Ticketing during consultancy for the project:

The Booth logo

"A great idea! I have visions of collecting less money at the door for Performances & Workshops and to be able to issue tickets prepaid on-line and/or paid by credit card at events. Having some re-assurance just before an event takes place that at least x amount of people are going to be there will be wonderful! It would also save time and effort to enter new customer details straight into a database from a laptop without having to do so first in a piece of paper and later re-entering information into database..."
Roxana Meechan, Highland Council Arts Officer, Caithness

"An excellent idea."
Ann Martin (promoter), Astley Hall, Lochaber

"As the use of personal IT increases, it would seem desirable to be able to purchase your event ticket from your own home.  Internet shopping and ticket purchases is fairly widespread in the Island regions."
Donald (Ryno) Morrison, Arts Officer, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (Western Isles Council)

"Bravo, good to hear the news. So many people have pc access whether personal or community. Many seats are left unfilled at events because it is difficult to book seats in advance, and more particularly, to make the commitment at the moment of decision. Once the notion has passed, people move on to others things and the sale is lost You have our support for a long overdue improvement."
Sue Hillman

"The HI-Tix idea was discussed at the NEAT promoters network day on the 6th September in Huntly which was attended by representatives of 16 promoters and arts officers from 4 areas in Aberdeenshire & Moray. The idea was universally welcomed with everyone saying that they thought their organisation would consider participating."
Sandy Maxwell, NEAT Project Co-ordinator

Thank you to everyone who responded during the consultancy period.
