Following our visit to Lochcarron on 8-9 April 2026, the Screen Machine service paused until the summer.
This coincides with the expiration of Cinemobile’s lease, which has served us very well over the past three years. It has been vital in allowing us to continue to bring the cinematic experience to nearly all of our communities while we fundraised for a new mobile cinema. Our thanks once again to Screen Scotland and Creative Scotland for providing the funds for its lease.
We expect to take ownership of the new mobile cinema, Screen Machine 3, in June. As this will be a large undertaking for the team, we will use the pause to prepare to take ownership of it and get it ready for its first tour later in the summer. Throughout this time we will keep you updated in progress via our newsletter and social media as we’re sure you’re keen to know when it will next be in your community.
It is incredible to think we are almost at the end of this nearly three-year journey. Thank you for your donations and support, and we can’t wait to let you see your shiny new cinema.
