Welcome to the Promoters Arts Network

in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

100 local promoters in village halls, community centres, arts venues and theatres.

PAN and the Blas Festival

The Blas festival was launched on Thursday 31 July during a two hour BBC programming transmitted to BBC Scotland and BBC Radio nan Gaidheal. Musicians who will appear in halls around the Highlands were hosted by Mary Ann Kennedy and Archie Fisher with interviews from Donna Cunningham, Brian O hEadhra and others.
PAN and local promoters got a good mention on several occasions as being the mainstay of the Blas festival.

PAN's area development

Lindsay Dunbar is working hard to bring together the local promoters in the Black Isle and Easter Ross area.

In Argyll and Bute this development is on hold as Sandy Maxwell has asked to withdraw for personal reasons. We thank him for his start-up help in this project.

The first few months has shown the great benefits that will arise at this local level and PAN will continue to develop in this way.

Autumn 2008 Forum

Friday 24 to Sunday 26 October on the Isle of Mull

The Forum is for PAN Members and invited promoters only - not for visiting touring companies.

However PAN welcomes suggestions from those who tour into the area for ways in which PAN members can make this more enjoyable and economically viable for you.
