Superman is the embodiment of truth and justice. Driven by his compassion and inherent belief in the kindness of humankind, he has used his powers to do good across the world, saving countless lives, and even stopping a war from escalating.

But his views may no longer be compatible with an ever-changing world, which is more frequently expressing hostility to his presence and actions. Questioning his place on Earth, Superman must reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his adoptive human family. And he must do it quickly, before his arch nemesis Lex Luther wields the situation to his own benefit.

Soar into the sky with director James Gunn (The Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy) in this newly-imagined interpretation of DC Comics’ legendary superhero that blends together epic action, humour, and heart.

“a return to the sort of visual style of Richard Donner’s Superman from the ’70s that we all loved.” Mark Kermode

“an ambitious, occasionally stirring film that is weirder, nervier and more thoughtful than most blockbusters” Screen International

“It is genuinely heartening to see a movie this massive refuse to shy away from how divided and broken our world is.” Salon
