RSNO: Live Performance & Holst’s The Planets

Newtonmore… be part of something special as we bring to life a brand-new show.

Step inside the creative process and help the Screen Machine and Royal Scottish National Orchestra create a new show for the people of Scotland. Join Chris Hart (RSNO Principal Trumpet) as your host for the afternoon in the Screen Machine. Experience the RSNO’s String Quartet perform a selection of folk inspired pieces live, before sitting back and enjoying a pre-recorded screening of Holst’s epic The Planets featuring over 95 players from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra on the big screen.

Audience feedback is vital to this event. All audience members will be invited to a post-show event in the Newtonmore Grill, with complimentary tea and coffee, and asked to complete a survey to inform the next phase to help create these shows. You can even help us choose the name!

“this was a terrifically exciting Planets that made me hear new things in this most familiar score” Bachtrack
