Lee

Upon the outbreak of World War 2, former model Lee Miller signs up to be a photojournalist for Vogue Magazine. The growing conflict is a world away from the excess and luxury of Lee’s previous career, but her time as a model has taught her the transactional power of photography, allowing her to capture striking images with details most of her male counterparts can’t see.
Despite this, Lee struggles to be taken seriously, and must fight for her place on the frontlines. Alongside fellow photojournalist and friend David E. Scherman, she is determined to document the terrible cost of the conflict. As the Nazis retreat and she ventures deeper into Europe, she bears witness to the horror and atrocities of war and the Third Reich.
Kate Winslet gives a compelling performance as the tough and magnetic model-turned-photographer Lee Miller. Based on her remarkable life, this sobering biographical drama tells the incredible story of a unique and brave woman who used her talents to convey the brutal nature of war to the world at large.
