This screening is a fundraising event graciously put on by director Andy Mackinnon of UistFilm in support of Screen Machine. All tickets are available on a sliding scale, with every penny going towards Screen Machine’s campaign to raise funds for a new mobile cinema.

The Faodail Film Archive celebrates lost indigenous film collections from the 1930s to the 80s in the Outer Hebrides preserving the archive for future generations. The Cinema Sgìre Continuing mobile cinema van travels the islands, showcasing footage to local communities, making them accessible globally online, and adding rich new narratives relevant to the Gàidhealtachd for contemporary audiences.

There will be 30 minutes of bonus footage after, during which Andy will talk and answer questions.

Tickets for this screening will operate on a sliding scale policy. Choose what you pay from £2 – £10 with all proceeds going towards our campaign for a new Screen Machine.
