Following the death of the reigning pope, Cardinal Thomas Lawrence, in his role as Dean of the College of Cardinals, must summon the conclave to elect a successor.

As cardinals from all across the world descend into the Vatican, battle lines are drawn between the four leading candidates vying for enough votes to claim the papacy. It doesn’t take long for rumours and accusations to start flying, casting aspersions and doubts on each candidate. In the middle of this turmoil stands Lawrence, searching for truth while he tries to hold everything together.

Based on the Robert Harris novel, this political thriller is a clever and suspenseful watch full of deception and twists. Featuring a strong ensemble cast, Ralph Fiennes and Isabella Rossellini have received universal praise for their standout performances.
