plan B are in the midst of creating new show parallel | parallels, which explores the world of parallel universes and will leave audiences questioning all their choices. Scientists have proven, beyond reasonable doubt, that parallel universes really do exist and in other universes there may well be versions of us living completely different lives.
This collaborative project brings together an award winning team including Artistic Director Frank McConnell, Singer/Songwriter Michael Marra, Writer John Harvey, Designer Karen Tennent and Lighting Designer Jeanine Davies.
Rather than the traditional end-on seating arrangements of many dance productions, the piece will be performed in traverse with audiences seated in two opposite seating banks. The set will be a simple dance floor with the space divided, by the clever use of screens, into two areas – two parallel worlds allowing the audience to effectively witness the intriguing blend of music, narrative and movement in two co-existing performances.

plan B will perform the world premiere at Dance Base, Edinburgh as part of this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Previews 6th and 7th August. Performances 8th -16th August (excluding Mon 11th and Friday 15th)
This will be followed by a one-week tour in September and a two-week tour in February 2009 tbc.
