| Director of An Lanntair, Roddy Murray, said: “We are delighted with the design. The architects have produced many acclaimed buildings throughout Scotland, and Stornoway deserves a building of this quality.” |

| The building will house a highly flexible auditorium that will seat 239 people, but which can be opened out to incorporate the bar area, greatly expanding the range and type of activities than can be accommodated. |
