This is a collaborative Installation and Exhibition of Poetry, Printmaking, Writing and Photography by Visual Artists Rebecca Marr and Carol Dunbar and Writer and Poet Valerie Gillies, (the 2007 Edinburgh Poet Makar....Poet Laureate to the City). The exhibition can be seen from the 9th May to 29th June - at Inchmore Gallery, Inverness.
"Dewpoint" - (The temperature at which the air cannot hold all the moisture in it and dew begins to form).
This show seamlessly combines these three(Award winning) artists skills - Captured in photogram's, Applied by the artist and Composed by the writers mind. It presents an all round visual experience - offering you a view of both the familiar and the discovered within the life supporting environment of vapour and water.
The visual stimulus ranges from incredible cloud formations to the science of saturated air and ........the behaviour of seaweed.
Regionally, this is a rare opportunity to host this professional level (and format) of collaborative work and - for the public and artist alike - it is encouraging to find a venue which helps promote a cosmopolitan taste of the Arts in the Highlands and Islands.
The exhibition is led by Rebecca Marr - who recently completed an art residency position in Orkney and where she compiled a written and pictorial history of Art and Agriculture. Her years work culminated in an exhibition, supported by the acclaimed Pier Art Centre in Stromness.
