Highland Print Studio, in collaboration with the Highland Council Exhibitions Unit, is staging an exhibition of original printmaking during Summer 2008. The exhibition will take place from June till Oct 08, opening at the Iona Gallery in Kingussie, then touring to Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, Fergus Gallery, Wick and the Swanson Gallery, Thurso. The private view will take place at Inverness Museum; date TBC.

The aim of the exhibition is to celebrate the diversity of work that can be created via printmaking. Submissions are welcome from artists working in any printmaking technique, or who are using any of those techniques in combination with other media.

The exhibition is open to any artist, however priority will be given to artists who have lived or worked in the Highlands.

Please submit up to 3 works for selection by sending either jpegs or photographs of the work, along with a short biog to:

Artists whose work is selected will be notified by: 12 May 08

NB. The work will have to be available from June – Oct 08 inclusive and all selected 2-dimensional work must be submitted framed. Selected work may be dropped off at Highland Print Studio anytime from 26th May (please phone to arrange) and the Exhibitions Unit will fund the return the work to the artists at the end of the exhibition. The organisers reserve the right to refuse work that is unsuitably framed.
