Steve Coomber of LADS drama group took part in our previous creative
weekend "The Fall of the Peacock Throne". He writes - 'It was a brilliant
experience and I learned so much. It was the right mix of hard work and
good fun. We started off as a group of strangers but became a close-knit
team and I was very pleased with the performance we gave to a live audience
on the Sunday, after just 2 days of rehearsal. Working with a good script alongside
a professional director and sound, light and visual engineers took performing
to a new level for me. I'd recommend the experience to anyone involved in
drama locally. There is a fee to pay, about £70 and, at first, this might put some
people off. But compared to say, the cost of music lessons or participating in
sport, I think it's good value. It's professional, contemporary, multi-media
drama here on our doorsteps and I think it's too good an opportunity to miss!
