Eden Court Cinema Programmer Paul Taylor said:

It’s exciting that we are able to attract quality film makers to Inverness, and the more people who come along to these events, the greater the chance is that higher profile directors will visit Eden Court in the future.

Eden Court is presenting six seasons of themed films in March and April:

WIM WENDERS SEASON – This features the legendary German director’s acclaimed 1970’s Road Movies Trilogy, and his most successful feature, 1984’s PARIS, TEXAS, which won the Palm d’Or.

PROGRAMMER’S PICKS - Eden Court’s Cinema Programmer Paul Taylor recommends his own personal highlights from the current programme. These include Sidney Lumet’s gripping thriller BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU’RE DEAD and historical drama THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL.

FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL UK – Our selection of quality features from this UK wide Festival provide an ideal introduction to contemporary French cinema. The movies include epic Algerian War drama SUMMER OF ’62 and coming of age comedy drama WHAT ABOUT LOVE?

7 FILMS OF 2007 - Our Cinema Programmer Paul Taylor presents his favourite films from last year. These include acclaimed British drama THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND and music bio-pic CONTROL.

SUNDAY CLASSICS - An ongoing series of classic movies. The first selection takes in everything from James Bond to Spaghetti Westerns.

FIRST EVER EDEN COURT CINEMA PROGRAMME – Across coming months cinema goers will have the chance to enjoy Eden Court’s first ever line-up of films from our debut programme in 1977. The first two films are Martin Scorsese’s ALICE DOESN’T LIVE HERE ANYMORE (17 APRIL) and Federico Fellini’s AMARCORD (25 APRIL).

Also on offer are the regular DREAM AND SCREAM screenings of current films for parents or carers of new babies aged 0-12 months, and a number of features programmed by the INVERNESS FILM FANS

Eden Court is also inviting its audience to contact them at cinema@eden-court.co.uk  with comments on the latest film programme and suggestions of what they would like to see at Eden Court’s cinemas.
