Andorra by Max Frisch is the study of a catastrophe; of how a small country can betray its ideals in a grand manner. Andri is believed to be a Jew, and though he is not, suspicion is enough to fuel hatred and tragedy, when a proud society conspires to betray everything it claims to stand for.
Transplanted from mid twentieth century Europe to the world of post EU expansionism. Andorra is set in a paranoid landscape of rising neo nationalism driven by mass immigration and ethnic division; this adaptation of the Frisch play will ring loud with contemporary resonance and question who we think we are and what we hold most dear.
