A musical circus will bring a carnival atmosphere to Ardross Hall on Saturday 28 December when Orkestra del Sol take to the stage in their snazzy hats, socks and footwear.
Drawing inspiration from the brass band traditions of Eastern Europe and the rebellious spirit of global street music, Orkestra del Sol’s influences range from calypso and cocek, to porro, polka and ska. Their presence is captivating, their characters enthralling and their music brings to life a performance delivered with humour, exuberance and great energy.
Featuring assorted saxes and clarinets, trumpet, trombone, fiddle, accordion, percussion and a large and battered sousaphone that looks as if it might have been salvaged from the wreck of the Titanic, this exuberantly brassy circus will have the audience clapping, then dancing, virtually from their first thump-and-blare.” Tickets cost £10 and need to be booked in advance on
www.thebooth.co.uk or by telephoning 01349 880591.
The show starts at 9pm, with doors opening 8pm and there will be a licensed bar and food for sale.
We hope you can join us for a great night.
