New Media Scotland's Executive Director, Cezanne Charles, is leaving the organisation to move back to the US. Her last day will be the 14 December. On behalf of the Board of Director's and all of the staff we wish her the best and will miss her hard work and dedication to the organisation.

The Board wish to apoint a new Executive Director to lead the organisation through its next stage of development. New Media Scotland is the national art, science and technology development organisation working across the creative industries to deliver its mission and strategic aims and objectives.

New Media Scotland, as a charitable agency, aims to support practitioners and stimulate public interest, awareness and debate about the impact and potential of new technologies and developments in science through the arts. We deliver exhibitions, presentations, public art projects, discussion & networking events, training, bursaries and commissioning funds, and publications across Scotland.

The Executive Director reports to and works in partnership with the Board of Directors to provide successful leadership and management of the organisation. The Executive Director of New Media Scotland functions as the Chief Executive Officer and the Company Secretary of the organisation. The Executive Director leads the organisation in the advocacy, development and delivery of art, science and technology provision throughout Scotland.

The new Executive Director will be an entrepreneurial and spirited leader with strong executive and financial management skills who recognises the central role of strategic and financial planning, fundraising, public speaking, marketing and audience development. The final candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to manage a small and mid-sized arts organisation; to build on New Media Scotland's significant achievements to date; and to map an exciting plan for the future. The new Executive Director will have a deep commitment to supporting creative practitioners across disciplinary boundaries working at the intersection of the art, science and technology and to building audiences for this work.
