Discover the importance of letters that tell us about other people, places and lives and develop creative writing and artistic skills! A wonderful cross curricular tie in!

The workshop will introduce Isabella Bird Bishop, a great Victorian traveller and writer who wrote about different cultures. Students will learn about using letters and pictures to tell people about your life and travels, and compare different people’s lives. Working with Scottish artist Joanne Kaar, the group will write individual short accounts of their journey to school using similar materials to those used by Isabella Bird and will focus on creative writing, audience and composition.
