The very first ArtsFeastCowal
30 May 2007

Artists from all over Cowal opening up their working studios to the public for a weekend in June? Sounds like a great idea.  Add to that Restaurants and Accommodation providers joining in to highlight the links between food, the hills and glens and seascapes of Cowal and you have ArtsFeastCowal (22nd to 24th June 2007).

Organised by Cairndow Arts Promotions and Dunoon and Cowal Marketing Group the original intention was to get 30 businesses and artists involved but word soon got round and now the event has 41 participants . Speaking for the organisers John Orr commented "The event runs from Friday 22nd June to Sunday 24th June and if the enthusiasm of the participants for this new art, food and hospitality event is anything to go by it is going to be a great weekend showcasing the very best Cowal has to offer."

A new handy trail map and brochure featuring all the participants has just been published to help you find your way to the studios, the food and the accommodation throughout Cowal .You can pick up a copy from participating establishments or order a copy from the website www.artsfeastcowal.com . Details of opening times and contact details for each participant can also be found here.

The drive to Cowal runs through some excellent scenery and only takes an hour or so from Glasgow. Alternatively you can hop across the Firth of Clyde on a ferry from Gourock to Dunoon. Whether you live in the area or are visiting Scotland pick up a brochure and take part in the very first ArtsFeastCowal. Its creative, imaginative and its right here in Cowal.
