Boat of Garten May Festival

The May Festival continues this Friday, 25 May, when we are delighted to welcome Duncan Chisholm and Ivan Drever back to the village to play and sing their traditional acoustic programme. Tickets are now on sale at www.thebooth.co.uk  and at Boat of Garten Post Office - £8 with accompanied children free. Doors open at 7.30 for 8. Licensed bar.

On Saturday morning, we have the Children's Garden Workshop and the Young Pavement Artists' Competition - starting at 10.30 and costing £1.50 each. Please note that under-eights should be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult.

There are two wildlife experiences on offer on Saturday - a wildlife walk at 2pm (donations) and a badger watch at 9pm (£5). Both need to be booked in advance by phoning Allan Bantick on 01479 831768 as numbers are limited.

On the Saturday evening, Rock the Boat Progression offers local bands the opportunity to compete for the chance to work with Stereoglo on 20 July and play as their paid support band at their gig that evening. Admission is £4/£3 and there is a licensed bar.

On Sunday, 27 May, R3 Tenors give their impressive recital of Scottish songs, favourite arias and songs from the shows in St Columba's Church at 8pm. Tickets are now on sale at www.thebooth.co.uk and at the Post Office - £8 with accompanied children free.
