Miles Hunt and Erica Nockalls in Ardrishaig
27 April 2007

As part of a major UK tour lead vocalist Miles Hunt and Erica Nockalls of The Wonder Stuff play a special show in Ardrishaig, near Lochgilphead, on Wednesday May 9th.

The Wonder Stuff have an illustrious recording career (including “Welcome To The Cheap Seats” and the unforgettable “Dizzy” with Vic Reeves). With acoustic versions of old and new Wonder Stuff songs, Miles and Erica are looking forward to playing intimate acoustic shows, having spent last year playing to tens of thousands of people. By way of introducing each song, Miles also recounts stories of life on the road, tales from The Wonder Stuff and life in general.

Highland dates on the tour are promoted by Ullapool based promoter Robert Hicks of Beyond, with the Mid Argyll date at the Argyll Arms, Ardrishaig, sponsored by Wild Biscuit Music. Robert has toured many familiar names (including Paolo Nutini, Ordinary Boys and Arab Strap) and is also promoter for Rock Ness, which in 2006 headlined Fat Boy Slim and this year features The Manic Street Preachers and Groove Armada.

Special guest with Miles and Erica in Ardrishaig will be Tobermory song writer Ross Baird, recently tipped for success by former Radio 1 Session in Scotland presenter Gill Mills. Ross is currently winning new audiences in Edinburgh’s contemporary music scene and will be known to many west coast listeners by some of his excellent work produced at An Tobar.

Tickets, priced £8, are available in person from the Argyll Arms, Ardrishaig, and online via www.beyondit.net.
