Over the past 5 years The Vatersay Boys have been creating a stir of madness and mayhem throughout the Western Isles and much further afield. Hailing from the Island of Vatersay, the most southerly populated isle of the Outer Hebrides with a rising population of under 100, The Vatersay Boys are now well and truly established in the Celtic and Gaidhealtachd music scene. They have taken the Scottish Hebridean music scene by storm, playing to sellout crowds at the Glasgow Barrowlands and being amongst the top highlights of not only the Belladrum Festival near Inverness but also the Loopallu Festival in Ullapool last year.
The Vatersay Boys have now announced that on the 19th August this year, they will be playing at the Ironworks Live Music Venue, Inverness. In a gig which promises to be a sell out to Inverness revellers, the Boys will play a rough, raw, no Bullsh*t set of ceilidh dances. The “Wall of Sound” will be transferred to a sheer cliff face by the Ironworks superb PA system.
A spokesman for The Ironworks said "We are delighted to have The Vatersay Boys come to our venue, this is a brilliant follow up to the recent Wolfstone album launch and to the Salsa Celtica show we have on March 4th."
Tickets for The Vatersay Boys go on sale on Feb. 14th at 10 am from The Ironworks Box Office on 0871 7894 173 at the Price £12.00 and are also available from
