GoDundee: final line-up confirmed

Go North, the acclaimed music industry showcase and convention, is coming to Dundee on 1 March 2007 with its unique programme of workshops, panels, seminars and showcases.

The showcase line-up has now been finalised, appearing on stages at The Reading Rooms, The Doghouse, The Westport, The Art Bar and The Shore. The Reading Rooms will be hosting the SxSW showcase, featuring three bands who will be attending SxSW (the largest music industry showcase & networking event in the world, held annually in Austin, Texas) later in March.

Plus one very special guest act from Dundee will be announced closer to the time.

All showcase events are FREE ENTRY so it's an excellent opportunity to see the very best in contemporary cutting edge new music.

There is also an intensive workshop & seminar programme giving anyone interested in furthering their career in the creative industries specialist advice and providing opportunities to network with industry professionals. The programme includes:
• professional song-writing masterclass with Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue) and David Scott (Pearlfishers & BMX Bandits)
• music for the games industry masterclass with Ged Grimes
• Cultural Enterprise Clinic with representatives from the Cultural Enterprise Office, Musicians Union, Scottish Arts Council, PSYBT, Thorntons Lawyers and PRS giving one to one advice on all aspects of working in the music industry
• Music industry panels
• Music & movies programme featuring Q&A with promo director Simon Poon Tip, the world premiere of the documentary The View on Fire, short skate punk film Dundee Got Weasel and the premiere of High Dubiety - Dundee music from the Grouchos Archives.

It all wraps up with a closing party featuring Edinburgh club Born to be Wide and DJ set from special guest Richard Coleburn (Belle & Sebastian).
