Formed in 1985 by clarinettist / soprano saxophonist Tomas Örnberg, the band plays mainly 1920s and early 1930s Chicago/New Orleans style jazz with great musical expertise.

The Kings have toured extensively all over the world with varying personnel and guests, playing all the major jazz festivals in Europe and visiting the USA, Japan and Australia to great success and acclaim.

They have also performed and recorded with world class guest soloists as Kenny Davern, Roy Williams, Joe Muranyi, Bob Barnard.
