Shutter Halloween Bash at The Ironworks
27 October 2006

Third annual Shutter Halloween Bash at The Ironworks in Inverness on Saturday 28th October 2006.

Shutter are seen by many as one of the top up & coming bands in Scotland with rave reviews from Record of the Day, The Skinny and The Lick not to mention Radio 1 airplay from one of the most respected DJ's around Vic Galloway.
With an ever expanding following in Glasgow and Edinburgh it would be easy for the band to jump ship and move down South but the Highlands and in particular the infamous "Shutter Hills" are special to the group's four members Matt Campbell (guitar), Pete MacDonald (guitar), James Roberts (bass) and Will Roberts (drums).

"We love the Highlands" says Matt "It's home and we don't feel we are held back here as we have loyal following in our home area and that's the reason we invite everyone every year since we formed back in August 2004 in the middle of nowhere to our Halloween Bash".

Shutter where the headline act the night the 1,000 capacity Ironworks venue opened last August and after playing venues such as the ABC and Carling Academy in Glasgow the group where pleased to see a venue of the same calibre open in the Highlands and are fiercely proud of the venue "It's hard to believe that it's finally here" explains Matt "lots of years have been put in by the people behind The Ironworks and now it's here we have to embrace it and make it part of our culture".

The Halloween Bash will feature two of Scotland's most forward thinking bands Project:Ven-Hell the only band from the north of Scotland to make this year's T-Break stage at T' in the Park as well Edinburgh band Citizen Ghost formed from the ashes of Wildtype the band are hotly tipped and one to keep an eye on.
