A celebration of the life and activities of the smallest professional theatre space in the world will take place on 5th November 2006.
At the end of this summer season, Mull Little Theatre will close after 41 years of continuous professional production. The theatre company continues in new premises in Tobermory but it’s the end of a proud and unique history of a very special theatre building.
After 41 years of professional theatre production Mull Theatre want to mark the end of the Little Theatre with something of a celebration. It is intented to have a day of fun and reminiscence, readings, music, interviews, nostalgia, bad jokes, etc, at the Little Theatre, and they wish to invite people who have worked here or who feel particularly connected to the building to come along and take part.
Clearly only a few people at a time would be able to come into the Theatre (it’s not called “Little” for nothing) so there will be a rolling programme of activities inside the Theatre with a marquee outside where people could hang out and mingle.
The plan is for most of the activity to be in the daytime and to round the event off with a ceilidh dance at the village hall in the evening.
The date planned for the celebration is Sunday 5th November 2006.
Anyone who has a connection to Mull Little Theatre and wishes to receive an invitation, please contact Mull Theatre with your name, address, telephone number and email address.
