14 August 2006
Performance poet John Hegley is going to be Live at The Watermill, Aberfeldy for an evening of poetry and humour on Friday 25th August 2006.
Coming hot from the Edinburgh Festival where he is a regular sell-out, he has also preformed at the Montreal Comedy Festival, the USA comedy Festival in Aspen and is currently on BBC Radio 4 presenting ‘Hearing with Hegley’. He has famously recorded two sessions for the legendry John Peel in 1984, when he was the leader of the comedy group, ‘The Popticians’ and has worked alongside Ulrika Jonsson and Anita Dobson in ‘The Pyjama Game’.
His performance at The Watermill will include his famous mixture of poetry, music and comedy and is sure to live up to his acclaim as ‘one of the county’s most innovative comic poets’.
He has written a number of collections of poetry and his latest book, ‘Uncut Confetti’ will be available on the night, ticket holders receiving a £2 discount.
Hegley will be live in the Coffee Shop of the Watermill on Friday 25th August at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 and are available from The Watermill, Mill Street, Aberfeldy (01887 822896).
