Songs of Praise, filmed in Portree Parish Church and at various locations in Skye & Lochalsh will be broadcast at 4 o clock on BBC1 on Sunday 11th June 2006.

The programme, presented by Sally Magnusson, will feature interviews with Lachie Gillies from Staffin, local musician & composer Blair Douglas, Linda Greenshields from Kensaleyre and Claire MacDonald, well-known cook and food writer.

The praise items will be led by local worship groups and choirs, including school groups from Plockton and Portree High Schools, and conducted by Ewen Stewart.

Musicians and singers from the National Centre in Excellence in Plockton will also perform Mo Spiorad Shiorraidh, a hymn written by Blair Douglas.
