BBC Radio Scotland are delighted to support new talent and unsigned acts at this years Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival's BBC Radio Scotland Seedlings Stage. The search for artists to complete the line up for the stage was launched on the Tom Morton Show on Monday (22nd May) and the organisers are excited at the prospect of unearthing some of Scotland's finest new talent. Vic Galloway and Tom Morton will be part of the judging panel.

Vic Galloway said "Already this year it's been an exciting time for new bands in Scotland with the recent Radio 1 Big Weekend and T in the Park's T Break search - this festival gives another opportunity for the whole of Scotland to showcase new bands - we hope there will be a strong representation from the Highlands and this expands what I try to do each week on my Radio Scotland show. Along with the rest of the Radio Scotland team I am looking forward to a great weekend in one of Scotland's most beautiful areas listening to great bands!"

Tom Morton said "Belladrum was a delight last year and the Seedlings project is a golden opportunity for bands to make their debut on the festival scene. It's probably the friendliest festival in Britain but it's also a real showcase - movers and shakers aplenty will be in attendance. And Belladrum has the best food of any festival I've ever been to. More toilets too."
