Hear on one evening arguably the two leading musicians of their generation on uillean pipes and on fiddle together with their acclaimed bands of outstanding Irish and Scottish musicians.
John McSherry was the youngest ever winner of the much coveted senior ‘Oireachtas’ piping competition. He is a world renowned uillean piper and was a founding member of Tamalin and Lunasa, and subsequently a leading member of Donal Lunny’s Coolfin.
Shetlander Chris Stout is firmly grounded in his traditional roots but never afraid to explore new territory. He sets himself apart not just because of his astounding technical ability and musicianship but because of his determination to take the music to new levels of innovation and experimentation.
