Highland Arts have been asked by the University of the Highlands and Islands to curate two exhibitions for their new executive headquarters in Inverness. The old Northern Infirmary. We have already hung one show there, which has been a great success with the University. We are now looking to select work for the next exhibition. Hopefully this will become an ongoing event.
This is a great opportunity for the Highlands and Island artists to get their work seen by some of the more influential people in the area as well as the opportunity to show large and challenging artwork. There will be an exhibiting fee for the artists selected.


Who
• 5 or 6 artist working in or with a very strong connection to the Highlands and Islands
What
• Mainly wall mounted pieces although some 3d may be possible
When
• Beginning July to end September
Where
• Board room: small works no more than 75cm square 6 - 7 pieces needed, preferably with similar presentation
• Ante room: (where they have coffee and talk) Wall space for two large works portrait or landscape format and 3 - 6 small pieces
• Entrance hall: three large pieces and may be 2 small pieces possibly 3D piece.
• Stairwell: 3 medium size100cm x 1oocm landscape format, and two really big spaces 2m x 3.5m one landscape and one portrait format
• Landings: 2 big spaces landscape format up to 2m x 1.5m
• Principal of University office: two smaller pieces no more than 1m x 75cm
Dates
• 19th May Images in for selection by UHI staff.

We will hang each area with a single artist’s work so do think about where your work might hang to its best advantage. The walls are coloured so please don’t hesitate to ask me any questions 01854 612460, flick@rhueart.co.uk  I would prefer work in a digital format but, again do call me if this is not possible. Please make sure the images are labelled CLEARLY WITH DIMENSIONS AND TITLES.
If you want slides or images returned please include a SAE otherwise I will be delighted to have the images for future reference.
