West End chic in the heart of the Highlands
17 March 2006

Moscow Ballet comes to the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort on 30 & 31 March 2006.

Highland culture fans are in for a real treat this March as the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort plays host to the Moscow Ballet. The luxury resort which has been revitalised by a huge investment in facilities welcomes the ballet on March 30th and special accommodation packages have been announced.

This is the first show of its type at the £80m resort which has already seen concerts by Barbara Dickson, The Proclaimers and The Illegal Eagles as well as a Christmas pantomime.

Residential packages include a two night stay and tickets to a local tourist attraction so that guests can make the most of their stay. With award winning hotels and a fantastic spa Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort has all the facilities to turn a night out into a real treat.

Sean Sullivan, General Manager at the resort said:

“It is fantastic for us to welcome the Moscow Ballet to Aviemore. With the facilities we have here this is exactly the type of show we think our customers, both local and those who wish to travel, will want to see.

“Putting on the ballet brings a bit of the West End to the Highlands and it is a great chance for local ballet lovers to see a really special show.”

The show starts at 7:30pm and for those wanting to make the most of their time in the Highlands, packages, including free tickets for the Cairngorm Mountain Railway, Landmark Adventure Park or Highland Wildlife Park are available.

The resort also has fantastic spa and leisure facilities offering a range of beauty treatments as well as Aviemore Highland Shopping, offering designer brands and featuring traditional Scottish themes but with a modern twist, the package includes a £15 voucher to spend in store.

With culture, shopping, spa therapy and fantastic scenery all on tap, Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort provides the perfect retreat for those who want to get away from it all without getting away from modern
living.
