Music Technology course in Lerwick
17 March 2006

Following on from their recent beginners courses in computer based music making and recording, Shetland Arts Trust are to run a local Cubase ‘Surgery’ aimed at more experienced users of the PC based music technology tool.

Arts Trust Music Development Officer Davie Gardner said that the course would offer those with an already established knowledge of the system an opportunity to further develop their user skills and ask specific questions of a highly skilled tutor. “Shetland Arts Trust is delighted to continue our working partnership with Stow College, Glasgow in this respect” he said. “They are one of the leading Scottish colleges in this field, and I expect any existing user of the Cubase system will gain a great deal from being able to ask questions and get personal ‘hand’s on’ guidance from a highly skilled tutor”.

The course will take place in the Anderson High School on 1st and 2nd April and will run from 11am – 5pm both days. The course costs £20 for adults or £10 for under 16.s.

For further information or to reserve a place on the course, contact Davie Gardner on (01595) 694001 or e-mail david.gardner@shetland-arts-trust.co.uk
