Ceòlas is pleased to announce the winners to the South Uist Community Buyout Competition. Shared first prize to Neil and Morag MacPherson who created a dance, and to Josie Burgess who composed a tune called, ‘Tilleadh an Fhearainn’.

A celebratory Cèilidh Dance will take place at the Dark Island Hotel on Friday evening 17th March at 7.30pm, Alasdair MacCuish and the Black Rose Cèilidh Band will provide the music for dance with singing from Kathleen MacInnes and it will be the opportunity to see the prize winning dance ‘The South Uist Buyout Reel’ performed, and hear the tune from young Josie Burgess.

Saturday 18th March, Ceòlas, in association with Colaiste Bheinn na Faoghla will offer workshops by members of the Black Rose Cèilidh Band in Accordion, Fiddle and Piano and Singing with Kathleen MacInnes.
