This year come and see a brand new pantomime for the 21st century starring “one of Scotland’s national treasures,” Jimmy Chisholm, at Perth Theatre from 9 December 2005 until 7 January 2006.
Dame McCuddles arrives at the castle of Duke Douglas and the Lady Prudence in the glorious land of Perfectia, to apply for the job of nursemaid to their newly born daughter, Beauty, so called because it is believed she will grow to be the greatest beauty in the land.
The Christening celebrations are cut short when the evil witch, Dementia, arrives uninvited and curses the little one to die before she reaches the age of 18. This forces Nurse McCuddles to reveal who she really is.
So begins the great adventure and the battle of good against evil. Starring Jimmy Chisholm as Dame, Greg Powrie as Prince Ninny, Mark Cox as Duke Douglas, Amanda Beveridge as Dementia, Helen Logan as Lady Prudence, Stephen Clyde as Rupert the Rascal, Joe Gallagher as Chamberlain and Gail Watson as Sleeping Beauty.
This fresh, fast-paced script features genuine, honest-to-goodness magic and an array of fantastic new characters.
