As part of the Youth Arts Festival, Arts in Motion has been working with children, young people and adults to develop film making skills and digital video techniques throughout the Highlands. From Achiltibuie to Wick, Tongue to Scoraig, young people have been making films.

The finale of the year of performance and film, will be a series of mock Oscar ceremonies, 'The Alberts'. These events will include all the trappings of the real Oscars and will involve live entertainment by young people. You too could enter a film or digital video piece and attend the glamorous, over the top, awards ceremony.

Submissions are invited from film makers in the Highlands. Your film or digital video piece should be no longer than 10mins and can be on any subject, or no subject at all.

The awards will take place at the Arts in Motion base in Evanton –
Children’s Award, 11.30 – 1.30 Thursday 8th December 2005
Youth Awards, 7.30 – 10.30 Friday 9th December 2005
Adult Awards, 8.00 till late Saturday 10th December 2005

So if you have already have a film or have lots of ideas, creative energy, live in the North Highland Area (Ross-shire, Skye & Lochalsh, Sutherland, Caithness) get in touch as you still have time to make a film.
