The art of a great Halloween Festival
19 October 2005

Deveron Arts is set stage its biggest ever Halloween Festival this year with around 20 events taking place in and around Huntly. The main programme kicks off on Wednesday 26 October with the Funny Bones puppet show and runs until Monday 31 October culminating in the Festival Parade and Grande Fiesta in the Square. Featured artists include David Blyth, who is creating a special installation in Huntly castle; acclaimed dance theatre ensemble, Dudendance, giving a performance in the ex-servicemen’s club and award-winning fire sculptor Alex Rigg launching the Halloween Night parade with one of his amazing fire performances. For full programme and list of artists see below.

Claudia Zeiske, director of Deveron Arts, said:

“We are delighted to bring together line up of top class artists to create an awe-inspiring Halloween Festival this year. We hope that people from Huntly and beyond will join us for the wide range of events and make this the exciting Halloween yet.”

Halloween in Huntly is programmed by Deveron Arts and generously supported by: Aberdeen Council, Aberdeen Towns Partnership, Enterprise Music Scotland, Esmee Fairburn Trust, Neat, Scottish Arts Council, Scottish Book Trust and the Scottish Sculpture Workshops
