The highlight of the 2005 Blas Festival will take place in Ardross Community Hall on Thursday 8 September when the Kilteran Fiddlers from Evanton are joined by award winning piper Calum Alex MacMillan and The Barra MacNeills.
From Cape Breton in Canada, the Barra MacNeills formed in 1986 and since then this diverse and talented family group continues to wow audiences around the world with their captivating vocals, harmonies and extraordinary musicianship. In October the focus at Ardross will switch from music to drama with a performance on Wednesday 5th by Mull Theatre of the first every stage adaptations of the popular Katie Morag stories and on Saturday 15th, Magnetic North Theatre Company will present Tom McGrath’s new witty and moving play,
