Ramage Jazz was blows it's own trumpet today as it announces that due to a sell out original performance and continued terrific demand, the Count Basie Orchestra will give two shows on Saturday 13th August - the original concert at 8pm, which is sold out has been moved to 9pm to allow for a second performance at 6pm.
"We can't quite believe the response, we knew that they would be a great climax to the Festival week (7th - 13th), but to have the ablility to sell a good part of a second show before really starting is amazing for us"
"Nairn Jazz Festival is really trying to put itsself on the map this year, with a wide spread marketing campaign funded by a new SAC National Lottery Award and Event Scotland Regional Events Fund. This sort of sales can only bring us closer to our rival events and should help make us the national event that we can be."
"The Highlands and Nairn in particular lends itself to the arts and our event is about providing local audiences with world class musicians and drawing audiences from all across the UK to the Moray Coast to enjoy our music in the unique and atmospheric surrounds of the area."
