The Mull & Iona Tree Festival 2005 Finale

To celebrate the end of The Mull & Iona Tree Festival, 2005 An Tobar invites you to visit The Aros Park Birch Tree – an installation by Emily Francombe in Mull’s Aros Park from 29th July. This marks the finale of a two-month festival of walks, events and workshops in celebration of the tree and the Tree Alphabet of the Celts.

On Thursday 21st July The Ross of Mull Historical Centre hosted a Poetry and Music Evening in Creich Hall featuring poet Aonghas MacNeacail. Throughout June, Gaelic writer and poet Aonghas MacNeacail led word workshops throughout Mull based around the Tree Alphabet, the s event premiered readings of poetry inspired by these workshops.

The exhibition The Tree Alphabet of the Celts (images by Simon Fraser and poetry by Aonghas MacNeacail) in Gallery I, An Tobar will run until 30th July.
