Tradition takes centre stage at the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort

August sees two great shows in the fabulous auditorium and dance hall at the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort and for both the Resort is offering special ‘night out’ deals to include dinner and concert ticket.

Sunday August 7 at 8pm: Tiller’s Folly Tiller’s Folly is a four piece Canadian Ceilidh band with a unique blend of Celtic, folk, rock, pop and bluegrass. Featuring at this year’s Speyfest, the band from British Columbia complete their tour of Scotland with a spectacle of showmanship, musicianship and song-writing in the Macdonald Aviemore’s Peregrine Suite on Sunday 7th August. One grand finale that promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Summer Night Out Deal: Two course meal (wine not included) in the Highland Food Court, plus concert ticket: £19.50 per person.

Saturday August 20 at 7.30pm: Humphrey Lyttleton and his Band The legendary band leader, trumpeter and clarinettist, Humphrey Lyttleton will be performing in the acoustically superb auditorium at the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort on Sunday 20th August.

The much loved ‘godfather’ of British jazz, who turned 84 earlier this year, has an army of international fans from rock band Radiohead through to the late Louis Armstrong. Count Basie's trumpet player Buck Clayton said of the great jazzman: "If Humph had been an American, he would have been compared with the greatest."
