Phil Kay returns to Universal Hall
20 April 2005

A return visit from Scotland's favourite improvisational comedian, Phil Kay will be appearing at Universal Hall in Findhorn on 29th April 2005.  Best known for his Channel 4 TV show his live shows are legendary. His comedy is a unique blend of energy, improvisation and wild leaps of imagination that leave the sudience dazzled and helpless with laughter.Spontaneous clowning and inexplicable verbal meanderings are his forte. He possesses the rare gift of creating a space where audiences feel like they are kids again, all taking part in a practical joke. Anything can happen and invariably does.

" Sides splitting, I watched as Kay took total command of the Stand’s main stage with his unrelenting observational flurries and haphazard tomfoolery" The Scotsman.

"One of the funniest things on the planet... inspired hysterical rubbish.... a comedy monarch" Metro

Phil launched his stand-up comedy career with a bang in 1989 when he won the Channel 4 competition So You Think You're Funny?, quickly gathering a host of awards, nominations and glowing reviews. Since then, the plaudits have never stopped as he conquered first the live stage and then television, with appearances on such shows as Phil Kay Feels, (Ch 4), Next Stop Phil Kay (Ch 4), Edinburgh Nights (BBC1), Montreal Festival of Fun (Ch 5) and plenty more besides.

Don't think you can turn up late and just sneak in. Phil will spot you....
