Exhibition of works by Graham Pook & Jenny Hunter

Graham Pook is a professional artist living in Lossiemouth.  Primarily a painter of marine scenes and landscapes, he finds his inspiration in the area surrounding the Moray Firth coastline, capturing the essence of the light, space and constantly changing colours that are to be found in both the sea and sky.

Working almost exclusively in oils, Graham’s paintings can be found in galleries throughout the United Kingdom, as well as in private collections at home and abroad including H.R.H The Duke of Edinburgh.

Since graduating from Gray's School of Art in 2002 Jenny Hunter has committed herself to full time working practice and is based at WASPS studios in Aberdeen. The inspiration for much of her work comes from architecture/ buildings, whether old or new. Although structure is a central feature of her work she also endeavours to convey a sense of atmosphere in the spaces she describes and strives to incorporate natural and organic elements in her paintings with colour and texture playing an integral part. Her material is compiled from a variety of sources, these range from information gathered while travelling abroad e.g. Madrid, Barcelona, New York, Amsterdam, to recent studies of the ever changing local Aberdeenshire landscape
